    Brand Communications Strategist
    Location London Office

    Reporting to: Head of Brand

    Overall description
    As Brand Communication Strategist, you will be responsible for managing and developing strategic deliverables across a range of brand projects. You will play a key role in continuing to grow and develop the brand side of the business. You will be responsible for developing insights from research, carrying out competitive analysis and market audits, developing strategic responses and value-add thought-leadership to clients.
    You will manage the projects and client relationships for which you are responsible professionally and creatively. You will be totally passionate about what makes brand work and what makes consumers tick. You will be able to communicate this in a way that is clearly understood, converting thinking into actionable plans and great creative output.
    You will be able to work with clients to unlock their brand essence through insight development and client workshops.
    Responsibilities

    Brand Strategy – insights and planning 

    • Take and research client briefs, developing insights from research and market audit.
    • Responsible for strategic responses that solves a client business problem and that helps make them be remarkable.
    • Strong presentation skills to effectively communicate strategic direction to clients.
    • Interpret and write internal creative briefs.
    • Set measurable objectives and monitoring to assess effectiveness.

    Account growth and retention 
    • Build long-term client relationships, becoming an extension of the client’s marketing team, ensuring clients are happy and protecting their interests.
    • Create and lead teams to successful conclusions, In case of new brand projects, you will be responsible for setting up the account and working with Head of Client Services to effectively resource ongoing account requirements.
    • Work with Account Director and Project Manager in the development of the strategic direction of the account.
    • As part of the brand team you will develop successful brand positioning and campaigns for clients and you will be the brand guardian for the account, monitoring that creative output is on brand.

    Financial management 
    • Job costing including project budget management and forecasting.
    • Good negotiation skills.
    • Accurate quoting and recharging for any addition work with timely client billing to maximise profit and cash-flow.
    • Understand broader financial perspective of the company.

    Brand team responsibilities 
    • Make a significant contribution and take leadership within the brand team.
    • Share knowledge with other team members and helping them to deliver on objectives.

    New Business 
    • Proposal / presentation writing as part of the pitch team, with excellent presentation skills.
    • Responsible for assessing and delivering new opportunities within existing client businesses as well as being involved in new business initiatives, where relevant, on an ongoing basis.

    Industry
    • You will keep up to speed with what's going on in the relevant industry sectors as well as being completely aware of everything that affects the clients and their businesses.
