Overall description
This role has an on-line focus but will also involve working across a range of marketing communication channels and projects.
As a Senior Account Director you are primarily responsible for the retention, servicing and growth of a selection of clients, striving at all times to deliver top quality service and product. As a senior member of staff you’ll be expected to contribute positively and energetically to the business by getting involved in new business efforts and other company initiatives as required.
Innovation is key to Story’s success. You will be expected to provide leadership in developing innovative solutions for your clients.

Responsibilities
- Develop a close working relationship with key client senior contacts becoming an advisor as well as account leader.
- Ensure Story becomes an extension of the client’s marketing team and looking to add value above and beyond the execution of programme deliverables.
- Proactively identify opportunities for growth and development on both accounts.
- Create and lead teams to explore/develop these opportunities and work closely with Project Directors and Managers to ensure successful conclusions
- Create, own and manage a client development plan, using it for formulating the strategic direction of the account.
- Manage and monitor the quality and relevance of output - be the internal client.
- Create and maintain good working relationships with other key agencies to ensure Story is always abreast of all communications and marketing activity beyond our own output
- Monitor the results of our work, sharing positive learning with team members
- Taking a leadership role within the client team
- Help with input and, where relevant, run new business pitches / credentials presentations as necessary
- Full P&L and process responsibility on accounts
So that’s what you will be doing but what are we looking for?
- Proven account management experience within an integrated agency or digital specialist
- Successful track record of building exceptional client relationships; necessary capability, presence and professionalism to inspire confidence and credibility with clients and colleagues
- Demonstration of values: innovation, service, and thought
- Understanding and experience of strategy, information architecture, creative and technology, as well as broad understanding of the consumer experience.
- Have an overall awareness of marketing issues and developments in our sectors of interest, including, but not limited to, Automotive, Retail, Financial Services and Medical
